VTEX, the enterprise digital commerce platform for premier brands and retailers, has opened registrations for VTEX Accelerator, a global solution accelerator programme. In this fourth edition, start-ups will be able to register their solutions on the website throughout the year to compete for the opportunity to publish their apps on the VTEX App Store.
“VTEX Accelerator is a solution accelerator for the VTEX App Store that leverages our positioning as a complete and composable platform (with separate back-end and front-end components that are integrated by APIs). Our programme offers start-ups the chance of finding customers in countries they still haven’t reached. A winner from India, for example, might have customers from Uruguay or Romania,” says Marcos Pueyrredon, Global Executive SVP at VTEX.
From May to December 2022, up to five solutions will be selected each month. If the project is approved, the start-up will get one year of technical support from VTEX. In early 2023, the Apps Grand Prix will award the best solution in each of six categories (data usage; customer loyalty and recurrence; operation optimisation; unified commerce; fintech and blockchain; and conversion funnel optimisation), granting expert mentoring, technical support, and visibility in the digital commerce ecosystem.
The participants will be assessed by a jury of executives from VTEX and other important global companies. The third edition of the programme was attended by managers from Pernod Ricard, Cencosud S.A, Drinks&Co, Linus, SpinPay, Naked Nuts, iDEXO, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), a cloud computing services platform used by VTEX worldwide and well-known for its reliability, scalability, and performance.
To compete, the solution must have at least a first version or an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and offer the possibility of integration via a third-party application. After publication on the VTEX App Store, the global visibility of the app will increase, since it will be able to integrate with more than 3,200 active online stores in 38 countries. The winners will also have the opportunity to showcase their solutions on an exclusive stage at the next edition of VTEX DAY and get plane tickets, full accommodation, and a ticket to both days of the event.
The Accelerator is another VTEX initiative to strengthen the global digital commerce ecosystem. In the last edition, the programme received 292 applications from 35 countries and awarded 18 solutions in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Germany, the United Kingdom, Poland, Colombia, Argentina, India, the United States, Spain, Italy, and Israel.
