This year’s NREA saw an additional array of exemplary professionals joining its esteemed winners’ circle, further solidifying its eminent status. Seventy luminaries were feted for their significant contributions to the property industry, with an exclusive group of twelve conferred the prestigious MIEA Million Dollar Achievers (MMDA) award.

This year’s event held a special place for Dr. Ernest Cheong Yong Yin, MIEA’s Charter President and founding member, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Cheong’s pivotal role in establishing MIEA and laying the groundwork for the flourishing real estate industry played a significant role in catering to the escalating home ownership demands of Malaysians.

Wong Yau Long, Cornerstone Xstate Sdn Bhd’s managing director, was another notable recipient, bagging the Real Estate Agent of the Year Award. With an extraordinary career since 2005, Wong’s consistent commitment and dedication serve as a beacon of the highest standards in the real estate industry.
This year’s awards also celebrated the growing influence and success of women in real estate, a testament to the numerous opportunities available in the sector. The Real Estate Negotiator of the Year award was won by a woman, further highlighting the crucial contributions of women in the industry.
