The company won the prestigious Gold award in the Environmental Category under the Responsible Consumption & Production Division at The Star’s ESG Positive Impact Awards 2024. This award recognises organisations that have embraced sustainable business practices and have demonstrated a strong, long-term commitment to responsible consumption during property development stages.

The ESG Positive Impact Awards: Leading the Way for Sustainability
Launched in 2022, The Star’s ESG Positive Impact Awards serve as a benchmark for Malaysian companies striving to embrace sustainable futures. The event is organised by Star Media Group with OCBC Bank as the main sponsor, while Ernst & Young plays the role of adviser and auditor.
This year’s awards theme, “Embrace A Sustainable Future,” underscores the importance of ESG in driving business practices that positively impact the environment and society. Tropicana’s submission focused on its green-certified developments, emphasising responsible consumption and production during design and construction stages. Since 2014, the company has developed 17 projects that have received green building certifications, showcasing its dedication to sustainable living.

As part of its ongoing efforts, Tropicana recently inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with GreenRE, reinforcing the Group’s commitment to green building standards. Tropicana’s sustainable townships are a testament to its focus on creating eco-efficient, environmentally friendly developments that minimise their carbon footprint.
