KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 17 – As nightfall enveloped Kuala Lumpur yesterday, news of a Tesla vehicle ablaze sent shockwaves throughout the city. The incident, captured in numerous videos that circulated online, was later confirmed by the Fire and Rescue Department.

Upon receiving an alert at approximately 8.32pm, a quick response team of seven firefighters from Puchong Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene. They discovered that a significant portion, around 70%, of the Tesla Model Y was already consumed by fire. Their proficient action ensured that the fire was rapidly brought under control, though the exact time frame remains unspecified in the official documentation.

Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, the Assistant Director for the Operation Division of Bomba Selangor, shed light on the circumstances preceding the fire. According to Mukhtar, the Tesla owner had briefly parked the vehicle to grab a bite to eat when the unexpected blaze erupted.
