Superbank has become the first bank in Indonesia to offer digital banking services through the Grab app, marking a significant milestone in the banking industry.
This collaboration enables millions of Grab users and partners to open accounts, save, and transact seamlessly without the need for a separate application.
Users benefit from a 6% annual savings interest rate, the flexibility to withdraw funds anytime, and a 75% discount on GrabFood and GrabBike services through this integration. Superbank’s goal to provide secure, affordable financial services and enhance financial inclusion in Indonesia is significantly advanced by this project.
Customers can now register for a Superbank account via the Grab app and link it directly to their payment methods for various services including GrabFood, GrabBike, GrabCar, GrabExpress, and GrabMart. This integration simplifies the account setup process and reduces the need for additional storage on users’ devices.
Additionally, Superbank is offering ‘Pinjaman Atur Sendiri (PAS)’, a flexible, unsecured digital loan available to a select group of Grab users, which features adjustable credit limits and transparent interest rates and fees.
Supported by financial sector partners such as Grab, EMTEK Group, Singtel, and KakaoBank, Superbank continues to push the boundaries of innovation. This partnership with Grab is a testament to Superbank’s commitment to providing more relevant and inclusive financial services, helping customers manage their finances more effectively.
Tigor M. Siahaan, president director of Superbank, commented on the integration, saying, “We are thrilled to see how easily people can open accounts, save, and make payments directly through the Grab app. This aligns with our mission to transform banking in Indonesia with innovative and secure financial solutions. The integration with Grab provides easier access to banking services and attractive offers, supporting users in managing their finances better.”
Neneng Goenadi, country managing director of Grab Indonesia, also stated, “Our users and partners can now quickly and securely access banking services and Grab services in one application. Superbank’s 6% annual savings interest is expected to benefit the community significantly. This initiative aligns with our mission to create a broader positive impact through technological innovation and economic empowerment.”
