Each year, filmmakers, creators, studios, streamers and beyond descend in the annual Sundance Film Festival to present and watch the best new independent films of the year. From 23rd Jan to 2nd Feb, Adobe will be at the festival to celebrate the creativity within all of us by empowering everyone – from creators, dreamers and beyond – to share their story with the world.
This year, more films than ever have been created with Premiere Pro, making Adobe the most used editing software at Sundance. For the second year in a row, the majority of films used Premiere Pro to bring their vision to the screen, and 82% of the 2020 Festival lineup is powered by Adobe Creative Cloud.
Adobe believes it’s important that everyone should have the opportunity to express themselves and have a platform to all creators, especially the underrepresented communities and the next generation of creators, to expand inclusivity through a diverse set of voices – so that a variety of perspectives are represented.
Celebs like Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez and Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson who attended the festival, agree too! Hear what they have to say about #CreativityForAll. For more information on Adobe at the Sundance Film Festival 2020, please refer to this blog post.
Additionally, at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, Adobe is also delighted to preview Productions, coming soon to Premiere Pro. Designed from the ground up with input from top filmmakers and Hollywood editorial teams, Productions aims to help storytellers worldwide manage larger projects, keep organized and synchronized, and collaborate with their peers.
Key highlights include:
- Managing larger projects – allows you to divide them into smaller pieces. This means editorial teams can organise feature film workflows by reels and scenes
- Designed for collaboration – using shared local storage, multiple editors can work on different projects in the same production.
- Security: you control your media – projects and assets can live entirely on your local storage and can be used without an internet connection. Nothing is on the cloud unless you put it there.
We want to bring out the storyteller in you and celebrate the creator you are. To find out more on Productions, you can read more here.
