New training provider with registered and qualified trainers to help the Malaysian workforce upskill and thrive
In response to the growing demand for upskilling and professional development opportunities in Malaysia, SKiL Consultancy today opens its doors to serve as a platform for Malaysians seeking training courses to advance their careers. Conceptualised to address the pressing need for accessible and comprehensive training solutions, SKiL Consultancy is set to empower individuals and organisations to thrive in the ever-evolving workforce landscape spurred by rapid technological changes, including the rise of artificial intelligence (AI).
Globally, the labour market has been undergoing evolution since bouncing back from the pandemic driven by the acceleration of AI. Earlier this month, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim called upon the Social Security Organisation (Socso) and the Ministry of Human Resources to develop new upskilling training modules to produce more competent workers. With SKiL Consultancy’s arrival in Malaysia, individuals and businesses alike now have a trusted partner dedicated to delivering high-quality, tailored training programmes designed to meet the evolving needs of the Malaysian market.
SKiL Consultancy is co-founded by early childhood education specialist and entrepreneur Felicia Siaw and building inspection specialist and quality assessment trainer Joshua Kang, under the mentorship of David Lau leveraging his 30 years of experience in strategic management and training. Lau is an accredited trainer who is appointed lead trainer by the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) to conduct the Certified Train-The-Trainer programme. He is also one of the panels appointed by HRD Corp to assess TTT Certified Trainers seeking accreditation as HRD Corp Accredited Trainers.
“Having witnessed first-hand the transformative impact of on-going training and development for private and governmental organisations in Malaysia, I am humbled to be able to lend my expertise to SKiL Consultancy. I hope for more Malaysians, be it on their own capacity or under their respective companies, to step up and equip themselves with new skillsets to future proof their careers,” said Lau, who has been providing corporate training and professional development programmes since 2003.
SKiL Consultancy currently offers a diverse range of training programmes across diverse industries, including corporate communications, marketing and property inspection, ensuring that individuals can acquire the technical and soft skills as well as leadership capabilities needed to succeed in today’s competitive job market. SKiL Consultancy also provides training needs analysis for organisations looking to upskill their workforce, and supports them through the process of developing the right training programmes to match their needs.
