The Singaporean company PixCap was started by CJ Looi and Cyril Nie with the goal of making it easier to make 3D content. 3D design creation is still challenging, time-consuming, and expensive despite technological advancements. By providing a platform that lets users access and edit 3D assets and templates using a browser-based interface, PixCap aims to solve this issue. Users can choose from tens of thousands of templates and quickly create 3D designs by changing the colours, lighting, shadows, and camera angles.
The free version of the platform lets you comment in real time, use its creative library, and export videos, images, or GIFs with watermarks. The Pro Plan costs $9 per month and gives users access to premium 3D models and animations as well as the ability to export without a watermark. With more than 30,000 users already, PixCap has recently received $2.8 million in seed funding from Southeast Asia’s Surge and Sequoia Capital India. PixCap will use the funding to grow its engineering and marketing teams, make product development investments, and create a community of 3D design enthusiasts.

Looi thinks that PixCap will become the Canva of 3D designs, a place where marketers, 2D and 3D illustrators, global brands, graphic designers, and UI/UX designers can get help.
Ultimately, PixCap aims to become the Canva for 3D designs. By making 3D content creation more accessible and easy to use, PixCap hopes to unlock the full potential of designers and marketers to create beautiful and engaging 3D designs that stand out in today’s competitive market.
