Creative brand AllRightsReserved (ARR) and Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman have announced an array of promotional activities across Hong Kong ahead of the anticipated return of the giant inflatable rubber duck exhibition at Victoria Harbour. This time, the duck returns with a new friend, marking the 10-year anniversary since its first appearance.
The exhibit, “DOUBLE DUCKS by Florentijn Hofman,” opens to the public on 10 June for approximately two weeks. The two 18-metre tall inflatable ducks symbolize “happiness” and “friends,” echoing the Chinese characters “囍” and “朋”. Positioned near Tamar Park and the Central and Western District Promenade (Central Section), the project conveys a positive message of friendship, unity, and the healing power of art.

Sponsored by companies such as Prudential, csl., Ngong Ping 360, VSFG, and ZA Bank, with support from the Hong Kong Tourism Board and MTR Corporation, the “DOUBLE DUCKS” will feature in a special series of 24 promotional images, presenting them in various iconic local settings and cultural activities.
MTR has also placed “quacky” visuals in 18 different stations and transformed Admiralty station into the “Double Ducks” Station, featuring a massive duck face facade and interactive screens.
A collection of exclusive duck-themed collectibles will be available from 5 June at the DDTStore.
ARR founder, SK Lam, expressed his joy about the return of the “Rubber Duck”, aiming to spread happiness and foster connections through this large-scale outdoor art installation.
Hofman’s message about the exhibit emphasized the importance of togetherness and living in the moment, something art can promote amidst our increasingly digital lives. This news is based on Marketing Interactive.
