In an exciting development for the world of sports and luxury automobiles, Range Rover has been named the Official Vehicle Partner for The Championships, Wimbledon 2024. This prestigious partnership marks the first time the iconic tennis tournament will be supported by the world-renowned luxury SUV brand.
The Championships, Wimbledon, is a quintessential British summer sporting event, attracting millions of viewers globally. With Range Rover stepping in as the Official Vehicle Partner, JLR’s support for the tournament extends beyond a decade, following Jaguar’s previous involvement.
Range Rover epitomizes modernity, refinement, and unparalleled capability, drawing from over fifty years of evolution. The luxury SUV brand continues to set the standard with its range of plug-in electric hybrid models, and a fully electric Range Rover is set to debut later this year.
During the tournament, a fleet comprising the latest Range Rover and Range Rover Sport plug-in electric hybrid models will transport players, their teams, and officials to and from official venues. The on-site charging facilities will maximize the use of Range Rover’s pure electric driving range of up to 75 miles, aligning with Wimbledon’s commitment to reducing vehicle emissions.

The recently completed Indoor Tennis Centre at Wimbledon is equipped with renewable electricity-powered charging infrastructure. This enhancement supports the All England Club’s ambitious goal of achieving net zero operational emissions by 2030.
Geraldine Ingham, Range Rover Managing Director, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “As an iconic British cultural event watched by millions across the world, The Championships provides the ideal opportunity for Range Rover to engage with our global clients with creative storytelling, that perfectly captures the elegance and refinement of our vehicles and the synergies between our two modern luxury brands.”
Deborah Jevans CBE, Chair of the All England Club, echoed this sentiment, saying, “We are delighted to be continuing our long-standing partnership with JLR with the announcement of Range Rover as Official Vehicle Partner. I am particularly pleased with the inclusion of a significant number of lower emission plug-in hybrid vehicles in the fleet, with a focus on as many journeys as possible being delivered in EV mode. This is another step towards our goal of achieving net zero operational emissions by 2030.”
The Championships, Wimbledon 2024, will be held from July 1 to July 14 at The All England Lawn Tennis Club.
