Pos Malaysia, the nation’s leading postal and parcel service provider, has marked a significant milestone with the opening of its second retail store in Kuala Lumpur’s Brickfields area on November 17. This new establishment, blending traditional postal services with modern retail concepts, represents a key step in Pos Malaysia’s ongoing transformation journey.
Strategic Expansion in Brickfields
The new store, occupying about 1,100 square feet, is strategically integrated with the existing Pos Laju Brickfields. This expansion not only enhances Pos Malaysia’s presence in the bustling city but also brings a unique retail experience closer to the community.
Introducing Pos Kafe: A Novel Addition
A highlight of the new store is the introduction of Pos Kafe. Following the successful launch of its first branch in Medan Tuanku earlier this year, Pos Kafe offers customers a variety of freshly prepared meals and beverages. This innovative concept caters to the busy urban populace, providing a convenient option for dine-in or takeout.
Sumesh Rahavendra on Pos Malaysia’s Vision
Sumesh Rahavendra, group chief transformation and digital officer at Pos Malaysia, expressed optimism about the new outlet. “We were heartened by the positive feedback from our initial Pos Shop in Medan Tuanku. We are confident this second outlet will be equally embraced by the community,” he stated. He emphasized the convenience Pos Kafe brings, offering daily fresh food and beverages for customers on the go.

Rahavendra further added, “As Pos Malaysia continues on its transformation journey, we are committed to delivering innovative retail concepts that add value for our customers. We are enhancing our extensive retail space to offer more services and greater convenience to the rakyat.”
He concluded by underscoring Pos Malaysia’s commitment to serving the community beyond traditional postal transactions, aiming to build trust and connect lives and businesses for a better tomorrow.
Expanding the Retail Footprint
Leveraging its extensive reach and retail footprint, Pos Malaysia is set to inaugurate nine additional stores in Pahang, Selangor, Johor, and Melaka by the end of the year. This expansion plan is geared towards providing customers with an immersive in-store experience and retail convenience across Malaysia.
The opening of the new retail store in Kuala Lumpur signifies a new era for Pos Malaysia. By blending traditional postal services with innovative retail concepts like Pos Kafe, the company is not only enhancing its service offerings but also redefining the customer experience in the postal and parcel service industry in Malaysia.
