The sudden departure of Manu Kumar Jain from Xiaomi has caused a wave of shock among fans as well as professionals in the business.
His retirement signals the conclusion of an era at Xiaomi, which has experienced phenomenal expansion and success during the nine years he has been working for the firm. Raghu Reddy, Chief Business Officer of Xiaomi India, also resigned from his position at the firm a month before to Jain’s departure in order to pursue new possibilities.
The fact that Jain quit is a big setback for Xiaomi and its loyal fans, many of whom have watched him become famous over the years.
Jain, who became known as the “poster boy” for Xiaomi in India, possessed a compelling vision for the firm and was critical in establishing the groundwork for its future success. Because Jain is no longer around, a significant hole has been left in the leadership, and it is currently unknown who will step up to fill it.
In his farewell post on LinkedIn, Manu Jain announced that:
“Change is the only constant in life! Last 9 years, I’m lucky to have received so much love that it makes this goodbye so difficult. Thank you all. The end of a journey also marks the beginning of a new one, full of exciting opportunities. Hello to a new adventure,” he wrote.
