Kuala Lumpur, 06 May 2024 – The Malaysia Book Of Records (MBR) promotes CMO Jwan Heah to COO, tasked with overseeing both marketing & operations of the organisation.
Jwan joined MBR back in 2019 as Marketing Director, delivering record profits within his first 8-months and was later promoted to CMO in April 2022 after a successful pivot strategy during the MCO phase ensured the company’s continued profitability through that challenging period.
Whilst serving as head of marketing, Jwan unofficially focused his efforts on operations, developing & enforcing policies and standard operating procedures. “We have to get better internally first before we can serve externally” Jwan said. These unofficial efforts combined with marketing initiatives led to over 164% revenue growth since he joined MBR in 2019. Owner and Chairman of MBR, Dato Seri Michael Tio in recognising his contributions in heading operations has elevated Jwan to Chief Operating Officer effective May 2024. Officially overseeing both marketing & operations of The Malaysia Book Of Records.
“I’m very grateful that my personal efforts to get involved with operations the last few years have been recognised by the Chairman and the board of directors.” Said Jwan. “It has not been easy trying to revamp a division that is not officially under your purview, and the team and I faced many obstacles and resistance but they believed in the objective of such changes and the extraordinary results encouraged the team to continue on their quest.” He added.
The Malaysia Book Of Records will be celebrating it’s 30th Anniversary next year and the team is gearing up for greater growth and more exciting projects in 2025.
