But the problem with clinging to our comfort zones is that we can only grow to a certain point in them. We can only experience the true wonder and magic of life by exposing ourselves to new experiences.
Do it right now if you want to get out of your comfort zone. When you think about it before doing it, your mind will come up with a million reasons why you shouldn’t do it. You’ll be torn between doing it and not doing it, and as a result, you’ll procrastinate.
This pandemic has been an opportunity to grow by getting outside of my comfort level. I have personally challenged myself to learn new technical skills.
Here are a few things that have helped me during this time to get out of my comfort zone:
1. Identify my goals.
2. Consistently work on achieving those goals.
3. Identify limiting beliefs.
4. Use positive affirmations.
5. Visualize me succeeding in achieving my goals.
6. Journaling to record my thoughts and feelings.
Who knows what you’ll find when you leave your comfort zone. It’s possible that you’ll discover the best version of yourself.
