Dementia is a growing concern in Australia, with the number of people living with this condition expected to double in 30 years. It’s the second leading cause of death in the country and the leading cause of death for women. That’s why Dementia Australia is hosting Memory Walk & Jog, its largest fundraising event, in Perth on June 11th. The aim is to raise $1.7 million across the 20 events in Australia to support people impacted by dementia.

They are walking to support their dad Garry, who lives with the condition. Sarah said, “It’s amazing to find common ground and feel part of a community.” Carl added, “When my sister found Memory Walk & Jog, she jumped at the chance to sign up and join a community going through a similar experience.”
