Hang Seng Bank, in a visionary move, has unveiled its ‘Future of Banking’ concept branch at the Festival Walk shopping centre in Hong Kong. This revolutionary approach promises to redefine banking services, combining state-of-the-art technology with an innovative customer service model.
As the first of its kind in Hong Kong, the new branch houses a smart teller – a unique blend of personalized customer service and the latest digital technology. The smart banking counter, located in the branch’s lobby, enables customers to perform a wide range of banking operations. These include cash deposits in Hong Kong dollar, Renminbi, and US dollar denominations, among others.
What sets this branch apart is the inclusion of a digital branch service executive, equipped to assist with a majority of personal account-related queries. This service will considerably reduce waiting times usually associated with traditional teller counters, optimizing customer experience.
The ‘Future Banking’ concept is a testament to Hang Seng’s commitment to offering tailored e-banking services, adapting to the evolving needs of the customers.
Diana Cesar, Executive Director and Chief Executive at Hang Seng, expressed her enthusiasm for this innovative model. “Our ‘Future Banking’ service concept has been designed to meet our customers’ future needs. By integrating advanced technologies with a sustainable development philosophy, we aim to provide creative, caring, and forward-looking banking services to our diverse customer base,” she stated.
Cesar also highlighted the alignment of the ‘Future Banking’ model with Hang Seng’s core values. She expressed their continued commitment to innovation and client-focused service, reinforcing the vision to be ‘Ever Growing, Ever Innovating’ for their clientele.
