SINGAPORE, 30 NOVEMBER 2023 – Freshworks Inc., a key player in the global technology sector, has announced a significant addition to its leadership team. Mika Yamamoto steps into the role of Chief Customer and Marketing Officer, bringing a wealth of experience and a dynamic vision to the company. Her previous tenure at F5 as the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Customer Engagement Officer has honed her skills in overseeing data, marketing, digital transformation, and customer experience across diverse products and regions.
Dennis Woodside, President at Freshworks, praised Yamamoto’s unique combination of roles in marketing and customer experience. “Mika’s combined CMO and CXO roles have given her a unique perspective that has ultimately led to innovative, measurable changes for employees, customers, and prospects,” Woodside said. He lauded her track record in leading global and diverse customer experience teams and her ability to deliver exceptional go-to-market results in large public technology companies catering to a broad customer base.
Yamamoto’s journey through the corporate world has been marked by significant roles, including her position as Global President of Marketo and later as SVP and General Manager post its acquisition by Adobe. Her career also includes pivotal roles at SAP as Chief Digital Marketing Officer and CMO of SMB, along with senior leadership positions at Amazon Books, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Stores, Gartner, and Accenture.

Yamamoto, who holds a B.A. in Commerce, focusing on Economics and Marketing from Queen’s University in Canada, also serves on the boards of BlackLine, the Rainier Valley Food Bank, and the United Way of King County. She officially joined the executive team at Freshworks on November 20 and reports directly to CEO and Founder Girish Mathrubootham, and President Dennis Woodside.
