Teten Masduki, the Cooperatives and SMEs minister, has spoken. He stated that Indonesia has 2,600 start-ups. This ranks sixth in the world. But he recognizes a need for acceleration. Masduki wants the start-ups to become strong. He aims for success in both domestic and foreign markets. He shared these views at a summit. It was the 2023 Road to Indonesia start-up ecosystem summit.

He also spoke about integration. He mentioned the financing system, incubators, and trade policies. They must work together. The government has a goal. They want to raise the number of new entrepreneurs. The increase will be from 3.47% to 3.95% of the total population. Masduki explained the roadmap. It’s part of becoming a developed country. There must be a minimum of 4% entrepreneurs.
He mentioned collaborations. His ministry is working with private companies and universities. They are creating new incubators. This means better quality products from entrepreneurs. Creative Gorilla Capital has launched a fund. It’s a $20 million fund named Gorilla Silverback Fund. It came in January.
