Mukesh Ambani, a prominent figure in India’s industrial sector, remains the top wealthiest individual on Forbes’ list of the 100 wealthiest individuals in 2023. His net worth of $92 billion has been solidified through strategic moves like appointing his three children to Reliance’s board and listing Jio Financial Services with BlackRock.
While Ambani is in first place, Gautam Adani is very close behind, though his net worth has dropped by $68 billion because of the Hindenburg report.
At the same time, Shiv Nadar has moved up the ranks thanks to the recovery of the tech industry. Over the past year, shares in his company, HCL Technologies, have grown by 42%. This puts him in third place with a net worth of $29.3 billion. Not far behind, Savitri Jindal, the head of the OP Jindal Group, has gained 46% and is now worth $24 billion.
