In a bold move that aims to redefine the digital landscape, Indian IT behemoth HCLTech has announced an enhanced collaboration with global tech titan Microsoft. The objective? To deploy high-performance computing (HPC) solutions that cater to diverse industry requirements.
HCLTech’s Ajit Moodliar, the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Microsoft Ecosystem Business Unit, commented on the partnership, “With Microsoft’s proficiency merging with HCLTech’s CloudSMART capabilities, we are primed to deliver potent HPC solutions that will guide our clients through the complexities of hybrid infrastructure.”
Clients stand to gain a lot from this expanded partnership. HCLTech’s comprehensive advanced engineering services suite combined with Microsoft’s Azure cloud HPC technologies aims to deliver access to a wide range of HPC resources. This includes core infrastructure, sophisticated analytics, machine learning, and simulations. Such resources will equip businesses to make insightful decisions, optimize operations, and stimulate innovation.

Highlighting the relevance of HPC, Nidhi Chappell, GM- Azure HPC AI at Microsoft, remarked, “In the face of growing data volumes, HPC’s importance is escalating across sectors. Moreover, HCLTech and Microsoft plan to foster early-stage R&D initiatives that further HPC solutions for customers across sectors. HCLTech also intends to educate 3,000 professionals over three years and establish a dedicated Microsoft lab and Center of Excellence (CoE).
The partnership promises the creation of innovative solutions that allow customers to maximize existing infrastructure investments, while benefiting from the agility, security, and scalability offered by cloud-based services.
