On the brink of another significant phase in the democratic process, the Election Commission (EC) prepares for a crucial meeting slated for Wednesday. The central agenda for this conclave is deciding upon the crucial dates for the forthcoming state elections across six regions.
Datuk Ikmalrudin Ishak, the EC Secretary, unveiled that the meeting will be headed by none other than the esteemed EC Chairman, Tan Sri Abdul Ghani Salleh. This pivotal event will take place on July 5, 2023.

“The EC is pleased to announce that we’ve received the official proclamation dissolving the 14th State Legislative Assembly (DUN) for the states of Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pulau Pinang, Selangor, and Negeri Sembilan from the respective DUN Speakers,” declared Ikmalrudin.
The gathering promises to be a pivotal one, deliberating on critical components of the 15th state elections. The election writ, nomination day, polling date, the electoral roll to be used, and other poll preparations will be discussed in-depth.
Upon conclusion, the EC will conduct a press conference to shed light on the outcomes and proceedings of the meeting.
