Jakarta, August 6, 2024 – In a move set to strengthen the competence of women entrepreneurs on a global scale, DANA and Ant International, renowned leaders in digital payment and financial services, have announced the return of the SisBerdaya program for 2024. This esteemed initiative aims to empower women entrepreneurs in the ultra-micro and micro enterprise categories through comprehensive training, mentoring, and competitive opportunities.
SisBerdaya, which has garnered significant success in the past, is now open for registration until August 21, 2024. The program targets two categories of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs): the ultra-micro category for businesses with monthly incomes ranging from 1 million to 10 million rupiah and 0-3 employees, and the micro category for businesses with monthly incomes between 10 million to 30 million rupiah and 4-10 employees.
The 2024 SisBerdaya initiative will unfold in multiple phases, beginning with registration in August. Participants will be categorized into three main regions: West Indonesia (Sumatra, Kalimantan, Java outside Greater Jakarta), East Indonesia (Sulawesi, Bali, NTT, NTB, Ambon, Papua), and Greater Jakarta (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi). Following the registration phase, a closed judging session will shortlist 195 participants in September, who will then undergo an online mentoring period. These selected participants will subsequently receive one month of mentorship and skills training from experts at DANA, Ant International, government agencies, and industry partners including Women’s World Banking and GreatNusa by Bina Nusantara.

Olavina Harahap, Director of Communications at DANA, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “The success of SisBerdaya 2023 has proven to have opened insights, opportunities, and access to digital finance for participants to continue developing their businesses. Therefore, this year’s SisBerdaya Program is even more inclusive. As the theme is ‘It’s Women Entrepreneurs’ Turn to Go Global’, we want to invite women entrepreneurs to be able to open new perspectives, raise their optimism, and increase their competitiveness to the global level.”
This year, SisBerdaya introduces a new program, DisBerdaya, specifically targeting women entrepreneurs with disabilities. This program is conducted in collaboration with Perempuan Tangguh Indonesia (PTI) and the Indonesian Disability Women’s Association (HWDI). The DisBerdaya program will run concurrently with SisBerdaya, providing 50 selected MSMEs with training and mentoring until five outstanding MSMEs are awarded.
Noudhy Valdryno, Director of Public Policy and Business Development, Indonesia at Ant International, highlighted the initiative’s inclusive vision, saying, “Ant International and DANA are committed to increasing inclusivity in the digital economy in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, especially for women entrepreneurs. Through three aspects, from access to financing, adaptation to digital services, to professional business management capabilities, Ant International aims to reduce barriers for all business owners and empower them to digitize and achieve growth, while stimulating the local economy.”
The SisBerdaya initiative is also supported by the National Council for Financial Inclusion (DNKI) and involves a collaborative effort between multiple stakeholders, including DANA, Ant International, Women’s World Banking, GreatNusa by Bina Nusantara, Perempuan Tangguh Indonesia, and Himpunan Wanita Disabilitas Indonesia.
Ferry Irawan, Deputy I for Macroeconomic and Financial Coordination, Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, emphasized the program’s impact, stating, “Women MSME owners face gender barriers, difficulty in accessing formal financial services, and low financial literacy and inclusion. Collaborative efforts between stakeholders for economic growth are very important to drive the economy at a macro level. The SisBerdaya program initiated by DANA is a testament to this collaboration.”
Irene Heniwati, Deputy Director of the Department of MSME Development and Consumer Protection (DUPK Bank Indonesia), added, “Digitalization is about providing easy access for industry. Through this SisBerdaya program, DANA has dared to initiate a sustainable and inclusive program for women and people with disabilities to create digital breakthroughs.”
Edwin Nurhadi, Director of Financial Inclusion at OJK, also affirmed their commitment, stating, “We will continue to work with strategic partners, especially DANA, to improve financial literacy in Indonesia. We hope to continue to enhance business capacity with access to financing and training to empower MSMEs for friends with disabilities.”
The SisBerdaya and DisBerdaya programs promise to be transformative, providing women entrepreneurs with the tools and skills needed to compete on a global stage. For more information about SisBerdaya 2024, visit bit.ly/sisberdaya2024..
