In a significant move that highlights its commitment to human creativity, Clemenger BBDO has promoted four outstanding individuals who regularly integrate AI capabilities into their work. The latest promotions recognize the human brilliance behind the agency’s iconic campaigns and mark the beginning of a new chapter in its legacy of creativity.
Creative Leadership Gets a Boost
Long-serving Clemenger creative Ant Phillips, known for his iconic work, has been promoted from Group Creative Director (GCD) to Executive Creative Director (ECD). His 20-year career at Clemenger, which began as an Art Director in 2004, has seen him develop some of the agency’s most celebrated campaigns. Notable highlights of his portfolio include Carlton Draught’s ‘Slow Mo’ and ‘Beer Chase’, Bonds’ ‘The Boys’, NAB’s ‘Mini Legends’, FightMND’s ‘I’m Neale Daniher’, and the recent ‘Long Way for a Beer’ for Great Northern Brewing Co.
Ant Phillips expressed his gratitude and excitement, saying, “Clems obviously holds a special place in my heart, which is why I’ve been here for over 20 years. I’ve spent that time soaking up as much knowledge as I can from many of Australia’s greatest creative leaders who have passed through the building. Rising Stars Make Their Mark
Creative team duo Riana McKenzie and Zoe Perrin, fondly known as RiZo, have also received promotions to senior creative roles. Since joining Clemenger BBDO in 2022, they’ve worked on acclaimed campaigns such as the Department of Transport and Planning’s ‘Hi-vis Humanity’ and Myer’s ‘Make Your Merry Meaningful’. Their talent has been particularly evident in Riana being honored as AWARD’s Emerging Creative of the Year.
Ben Bryan, a standout creative mind, has also earned his promotion from junior to mid-weight Art Director. Starting as a motion designer in January 2021, Ben’s journey into the creative department was propelled by his top 10 finish at AWARD School in 2022. His notable work includes ‘NewsJacker’, ‘Yes Makes It Possible’ for Yes23, and TAC’s ‘Wake up to yourself’ campaign on driver fatigue.
