On the occasion of India’s 71st Republic Day, a constitution for and by the ‘Republic of Advertising’ has emerged – drafted and affirmed by the creative minds of Chimp&z Inc, an award-winning creative agency headquartered in Mumbai, India.
The constitution focuses on a set of rights for the advertising professionals a.k.a the ad men. Designers, writers, strategists and account managers united to consolidate this piece with the purpose of educating and encouraging a free flow of thoughts and actions in the advertising world.
Angad Singh Manchanda & Lavinn Rajpal, Founders of Chimp&z Inc share, “India has always celebrated the formation of its constitution on Republic Day, the idea of the advertising constitution first came to our mind when we were jamming on what we could do for brands. This constitution of advertising of, by and for the young minds of advertising, aims to build a positive impact on the global ad communities as a whole, by creating almost a guide for advertisers everywhere.”
Each article under the ‘Rights’ section has been meticulously penned down to bring out creative expression and evocatively unite the free-thinkers of the nation. The constitution highlights the everyday hurdles faced by the industry, right from managing relationships with clients to address the hindrances of every creative process. One of them being, ‘Ideas and insights are not restricted to titles, tenures and experiences, because even a CEO was once a beginner’.
The agency aims to bring out harmony among the advertising fraternity, promoting the message of standing together through thick and thin. Consequently, helping impactful ideas come to life, and making the advertising world a better place to work in.
