In an innovative turn of events, Brisbane’s revered radio hosts Stav, Abby, and Matt from B105 have successfully persuaded Allen’s Lollies to introduce a “Brown Snake” variant to their renowned bag of snakes. This novel lolly creation pays homage to the iconic Brisbane River, affectionately nicknamed “The Brown Snake” by the locals.
The Birth of Brown Snake Lolly
After several months of compelling Allen’s Lollies to give birth to a brown snake lolly, the triumphant trio received their inaugural three sample bags only 10 days ago. The samples, each carrying a unique flavour – coffee, chocolate, and cola – were securely tucked away.
The Mighty Trio – Stav, Abby, and Matt
Leading Brisbane on a sweet journey, Stav, Abby, and Matt have accomplished something no one else in Brisbane could – convincing Allen’s Lollies to celebrate their beloved river in the most flavourful way imaginable.
The Secret Sampling Session
The unveiling of the new lollies was an event to remember. Each unveiling featured a high-profile Taster, making this a star-studded tasting fest. Starting with Prime Minister Albo, who, showcasing his Masterchef streak, declared cola the ultimate flavour and humorously suggested aniseed as an additional flavor. Following him were notable personalities like Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner, Rugby legends like The King Wally Lewis, QLD Maroons Daly Cherry-Evans, Reece Walsh, Pat Carrigan, Ben Hunt, Reuben Cotter, and Harry Grant. The culinary maestro, Colin Fassnidge, and Heather Smyth, a reputed Flavour and Sensory Scientist from the University of Queensland, completed the high-profile taster lineup.

The Official Flavour – COLA!
In a live on-air revelation this morning, Stav, Abby, and Matt confirmed that the official flavour for the brown snake lolly will indeed be COLA, the chosen flavour of tasters and listeners. The trio are set to jet off to Allen’s factory in Victoria this afternoon to gather the limited edition brown snakes.
Brown Snake Lolly, an Olympic Staple?
Several tasters have intriguingly proposed a question – Could the Cola Brown Snake become the official snack of the 2032 Olympics?
