A Milestone in Australian Innovation
The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), the leading representative body for the nation’s innovation technology sector, has unveiled the winners of the 2023 National iAwards. Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the iAwards serve as Australia’s premier platform for recognizing, celebrating, and elevating the country’s most outstanding technological innovations.
AIIA CEO, Simon Bush, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are incredibly proud to celebrate the 30th annual National iAwards this year. We saw a tremendous number of entrants, with the most submitted in the last five years and of an incredibly high calibre. This has certainly put the judges through their paces.”
A Night to Remember
The awards ceremony, which took place on August 31st at a sold-out SkyCity in Adelaide, followed the highly successful format of the 2022 iAwards. Entrants were required to submit a three-minute pitch along with their applications, showcasing the myriad ways in which businesses, government departments, startups, and non-profits are adopting and advancing innovative digital technologies.
“Our congratulations to the winners of this year’s National iAwards, who have showcased the innovative possibilities technology offers us all. All entrants deserve recognition for their hard work and brilliant ideas. We want to thank them for their continued commitment to furthering Australia’s capability in innovation technology,” added Bush.
Distinguished Guests and Acknowledgments
The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Hon Blair Boyer, South Australian Minister for Education, Training and Skills, and the Hon Ed Husic MP, Minister for Industry and Science.
Mr. Bush stated, “It was a privilege to have the Hon Blair Boyer, South Australian Minister for Education, Training and Skills, join us for the National iAwards Ceremony.
