In the latest collaboration with Razer Merchant Services (RMS), Ant Group’s Alipay+ extends its services to all 7-Eleven stores across Malaysia, enabling seamless digital transactions for both locals and tourists. RMS, a business-to-business solution by Razer Fintech, aims to digitalize Malaysia’s businesses, strengthening their foothold in the evolving digital economy.
Razer Fintech’s CEO, Lee Li Meng, remarked that their partnership with Alipay+ would enhance 7-Eleven’s customer experience, fueling growth through convenience and digitalization. The new arrangement allows users of AlipayHK, GCASH, Kakao Pay, and TrueMoney to make effortless purchases in 7-Eleven stores using their digital wallets.
The move by 7-Eleven Malaysia is a bid to enhance the shopping experience for international tourists as travel reopens. Assistant General Manager, Chan Chee Weng, highlighted the expansion’s aim to ensure a delightful and hassle-free experience for customers, underscoring the importance of a seamless, digital in-store experience.

This move expands Alipay+ adoption to over 80,000 merchant touchpoints in Malaysia, including popular tourist destinations and renowned local and international brands. It is in line with Malaysia’s 2023 goal to attract 16.1 million tourists, facilitating a seamless digital experience for Asian travelers and promoting local businesses.
Dr. Cherry Huang, General Manager of Alipay+ Offline Merchant Services at Ant Group, emphasized the platform’s role in connecting travelers to local merchants and enhancing Malaysia’s appeal as a top travel destination. She also pointed out the continued efforts to integrate Alipay+ with local merchants, fostering a vibrant digital ecosystem.
Launched in 2020 by Ant Group, Alipay+ seeks to empower local and SME businesses to reach over a billion consumers via an extensive range of mobile payment methods. Alipay+ is currently accepted in several destinations, including Singapore, mainland China, and Macao SAR.
This news comes as Alipay+ extends its partnership with foodpanda Malaysia, allowing customers to enjoy food and grocery deliveries paid through Touch ’n Go eWallet. The partnership leverages the growing prevalence of contactless payments, giving foodpanda access to Touch ’n Go eWallet’s over 18 million registered users. Foodpanda Malaysia’s CEO, Sayatan Das, emphasized their commitment to customer convenience and the promotion of digital payment adoption for the safety of merchants, riders, and customers.
