In a recent announcement, renowned liquor brand Jameson Irish Whiskey revealed that it has chosen Ogilvy as its global lead creative agency, following a competitive selection process. This strategic partnership, comprising an international team from Ogilvy’s worldwide creative network, pledges to enhance Jameson’s position within the industry.
As part of its scope, Ogilvy will undertake global strategic and creative duties, emphasizing innovative ideas and experiences that aim to propel Jameson’s leadership position further.
Global CEO of Ogilvy Advertising, Antonis Kocheilas, expressed immense pride and enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Our team is exceedingly proud and delighted to work for an iconic brand such as Jameson. We aim to make it the world’s most shared spirit. Our engagement with this incredible brand during the pitch process allowed us to demonstrate the transformative effect of borderless creativity in shaping culture. The best is certainly yet to come.”
Ogilvy’s latest achievement arrives following an extensive pitch process, managed by independent consultancy R3. This signifies an expansion of Ogilvy’s global relationship with Pernod Ricard, the parent company of Jameson.
The global marketing director at Irish Distillers, Brendan Buckley, has shown great excitement for the brand’s future. He stated, “This is an exciting time for Jameson as we aim to elevate the world’s most loved and shared Irish whiskey through exceptional creativity and brand storytelling.”
Buckley added that Ogilvy’s creative and strategic approach, combined with a keen understanding of cultural relevance in key markets, impressed the team during the rigorous selection process. He extended sincere gratitude to TBWA globally and, more recently, TBWA Dublin for their significant creative contributions to the Jameson brand over the years.
