This Mother’s Day, KFC is showcasing gratitude towards the pillars of our lives – our mothers, with an unexpected gift of chicken drumsticks.
KFC’s endearing campaign is designed to pay tribute to the selfless women who invariably put their children first, particularly when splitting chicken pieces. “Though she cherishes the drumstick, she loves her children more,” KFC declared, acknowledging that mothers often reserve the most sought-after part – the chicken drumstick, for their children.
To commemorate these selfless acts, KFC, collaborating with creative and innovative consultancy R/GA, presents an exclusive bucket brimming with chicken drumsticks for mothers and families to relish.
“This initiative stemmed from a fundamental truth. We felt compelled to advocate for all mothers. It’s a message my own mom would endorse,” expressed Ed Cheong, Executive Creative Director at R/GA Singapore.
KFC Singapore’s Senior Director of Marketing and Innovation, Juliana Lim, emphasised that we frequently undervalue and take for granted the little gestures our mothers extend towards us. “We are touched by the sentiment behind this initiative and hope more mothers relish their favourite drumsticks this Mother’s Day,” she stated.
In sync with the launch, KFC invites fans to post their cherished memories with their mothers on Instagram. KFC will select the five most compelling stories and surprise their mothers with a special delivery on Mother’s Day.
Following the “Best Biter” campaign, KFC’s Mother’s Day tribute is a continuation of their efforts to honor Singapore’s profound food love. The previous campaign, which began on 19th April, urged Singaporeans to film themselves enjoying KFC’s crispy, succulent fried chicken and share the video on Instagram. The “Best Biter” will get the opportunity to feature in future KFC Singapore commercials, receive SG$20,000, and earn significant bragging rights.

“Some people have talents in singing or dancing, but some simply have the gift of relishing food in a way that makes others want to enjoy it too,” concluded Ed Cheong, the Executive Creative Director at R/GA Singapore.
