The company offers a convenient browser extension enabling online shoppers to calculate & offset their carbon impact. With over 10,000 retailers onboard, this service is provided for free. When you shop with a Verdo retailer, part of the money will be used for reforestation projects, helping to mitigate the environmental consequences of online shopping. By shopping with Verdo, your purchases make a difference! Verdoo is taking steps to reduce the carbon footprint and waste caused by delivery trucks powered by diesel fuel. Additionally, it also helps shoppers find the most attractive deals from its partners retailers, so they don’t have to look elsewhere.
The COVID-19 pandemic prompted Giurca to invent Verdoo, due to the significant boost in e-commerce.Giurca was appalled to see his neighbors’ dumpster overflowing with plastic wrappers, cardboard and the products they had purchased from online shopping during the initial lockdown. This highlighted a pressing need to ensure that online shopping is carried out in a way that is CO2-neutral.

Giurca asserts that any action taken is better than nothing at all when it comes to addressing climate change. As this generation is the first to experience global warming, we must also be the last to take any measures against it. We were delighted to find that more and more people, particularly the younger generation, are very conscious of environmental sustainability.
