The COO of MX Player, Nikhil Gandhi, has said that he will be leaving his job to pursue other interests. Gandhi is currently giving his notice and making sure that everything runs smoothly while he is gone. This development coincides with rumors that MX Player is being pursued by Amazon. A number of other senior staff members at MX Player have recently left their positions. Gandhi collaborated closely with CEO Karan Bedi after joining MX Player in 2021 as the COO. The platform’s geographic reach needed to be increased, data-driven innovation needed to be improved, the scope and scale of revenue streams needed to be expanded, and maximum impact for internal and external stakeholders needed to be created.

Regarding Gandhi’s presidency, Bedi said, “We are confident that our team, values, and talent will continue to flourish, enhance business synergy, and produce even more valuable organizational depth because of Nikhil’s contributions to the company. We sincerely appreciate Nikhil’s leadership and significant contribution to the development and success of MX Player, and we wish him luck in his future endeavors.” Gandhi proclaimed his satisfaction with the achievements made. While he was employed by MX Player, saying, “I want to express my sincere gratitude to Karan and the outstanding team for working with me to develop new revenue growth drivers and numerous valuable digital experiences for our users and stakeholders. I hope the best for them.”
The loss of a key executive like Nikhil Gandhi could create uncertainty for MX Player. One of the top video streaming services in India, especially if Amazon decides to acquire the company. The business, on the other hand, is optimistic about the future. They are committed to giving its users and stakeholders high-quality digital experiences.
