Now Studio, Now TV’s subscription VOD service, has announced its acquisition of Drama Republic’s critically acclaimed series ‘The English’ for its Hong Kong audience. Starring Chaske Spender and Emily Blunt, this six-part Western drama combines an engaging story, breathtaking scenery, and stunning visuals.
In addition, Now Studio has acquired ‘The Dog Academy’ from Five Mile Films, which follows the journey of misbehaving dogs and their owners to improve their relationship, and ‘Fifth Gear Recharged’ from North One, the first car show exclusively focused on electric vehicles.
All3Media International has also signed a non-scripted content package deal with Now True, another subscription VOD service under Now TV’s curation. This package includes the second season of Wonderhood’s acclaimed series ‘My Grandparents War,’ featuring international stars such as Keira Knightley and Kit Harrington as they uncover the extraordinary stories of their family’s history from 20th Century conflicts

Moreover, this deal includes two titles from All3Media International’s premium factual slate, ‘Stolen: Catching the Art Thieves’ from Lion TV and ‘The Box’ from Top Hat Productions. Additional content headed to Hong Kong includes ‘Monster: The Mystery of Loch Ness’, ‘Two Rivers’ Spun Gold’s ‘Royal documentary Harry & William: What Went Wrong,’ and Wonderhood’s ‘The Airport: Back in The Skies’ and ‘Inside Beverly Hills – The Land of the Rich and Famous.’
