GetWork, an SaaS based business headquartered in Gurugram, has recently closed its pre-Series funding round with INR 7 crore. Samarthya Investment Advisors, NVS Wealth Managers, and Artha Venture Fund have funded the project, along with contributions from angel investors and founders such as Pravin Agarwala, Shuchi Kothari, and Saurabh Garg. Our goal is to put the money we raise towards growing the GetWork Club by onboarding more than 2,500 colleges and 12,000 employers. We also plan to expand our reach and explore new overseas markets.
Rahul Veerwal, founder of GetWork, mentioned that an astounding 1.2 crore recent graduates enter the job market annually from 42,000 different colleges and training schools. Unfortunately, tier 2 and 3 colleges’ fresh graduates struggle to find reliable tools, guidance and chances for employment. There is very little on the market that caters to this talented yet overlooked demographic. GetWork is dedicated to tackling the massive problem of unemployment in India. The recently raised funding round has enabled us to bring onboard some highly supportive investors who will assist us in taking the GetWork platform nationwide over the next 1.5 years.

GetWork boasts a user base of more than 13 lakh students, who are coming from over 1,000 colleges all around India. These students are being recruited by the 6500+ employers on GetWork’s platform. According to the company, in the past three months, over 3,300 freshers got recruited into leading firms like ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda and Reliance Retail along with companies such as Hathway and Justdial. In addition to that, many up-and-coming startups including LeverageEdu, Lawyered and Nutrifresh also took part in this recruitment drive.
Jatin Karani, co-founder and partner of Samarthya Investment Advisors, stated that existing recruitment platforms focus their attention on experienced candidates. Therefore, these services are not capable of addressing the requirements of fresh college graduates and placement cells in Tier 2 and 3 colleges. GetWork has crafted a cutting-edge platform that can help employers from all over India access upcoming talent from various colleges. It bridges the gap between recruiters and job seekers, so recruitment needs can be fulfilled quickly and more efficiently.
GetWork entered the market in 2019 and provides an innovative B2B SaaS platform for colleges. It helps these institutions to match their fresh graduates with suitable startup and corporate roles, hence speeding up the recruitment process.
