Four new positions have been announced by Samsung Ads India. Mitul Sanghani has been named head of operations, and Vikram Chande has been named head of sales and agency development. Customer service manager Tushar Tyagi and sales manager Nishit Kanchan have been appointed as well. Chande will extend the company’s operations in the region as the head of sales and agency development, forming partnerships and creating relationships with agencies, advertisers, and trading desks. He has worked in full-stack digital media, programmatic advertising, and performance marketing for more than 16 years, with positions such as head of Adobe Advertising Cloud, national head of Group M PLATFORM’s programmatic buying unit, and vice president of product, platforms, and programmatic at Amnet, a Dentsu Aegis Network company.
“I see my position as eventually assisting these stakeholders in preparing for a fast-changing television watching landscape, and I will work to educate the market about the expanding prospects in CTV. To expand our reach in India, we will establish a strong sales team for Samsung Ads, leading both DSP (demand side platform) and direct sales channels,” said Chande.
Sanghani, on the other hand, left JioSaavn, where he worked as an associate director of finance. He has also worked as a finance manager for Mobileum India, TCG Private Equity, and Deloitte. He will be in charge of Samsung Ads India’s finance and operations, as well as the TV Plus content division. Tyagi has left Twitter, while Kanchan joins from Times Internet, where he was regional head of Colombia Audience Network. Tyagi has worked in digital marketing roles with Wecash, MobiKwik, and Samsung Electronics.
According to Prabhvir Sahmey, senior director of Samsung Ads for India and Southeast Asia, he mentioned that as the demand for CTV develops, the company will require a specific team to lead advertisers to realise the full potential of CTVS in India. The newly formed team is made up of a varied group of individuals that are leading the charge for the best-in-class CTV advertising experience.
