Reddit Updates Search Tools, Adds Capacity to Search User Comments
Reddit has announced a significant expansion of its search capacity, with the option to now search Reddit comments, in addition to posts, providing new ways to facilitate discovery, and uncover relevant conversations in the app.
“With this new capability, users looking for particular discussions or comments on Reddit no longer need to click on several posts and then scroll through what can sometimes be thousands of comments to find threads that are relevant to them. The new feature solves this problem and quickly gives redditors the ability to comment search directly and further refine their searches by searching for comments within specific communities.” Read more

Google rolling out conversion migration tool for Google Analytics 4
Google is now rolling out a conversion migration tool for you to important your existing goals from Universal Analytics to Google Analytics 4. You can access this under your GA4 settings screen, in the Setup Assistant tab, under the Conversions section.
How it works. The goals migration tool allows you to quickly recreate eligible goals from your connected Universal Analytics property as conversion events in your Google Analytics 4 property. I personally do not see it yet, but I suspect I will see the import tool soon. Read more
Meta tests new monetization tools for Horizon Worlds’ creators
Meta is testing several new tools that will enable creators to experiment with different ways to monetize what they’re building in Horizon Worlds. The tests are being launched with a handful of creators. Horizon Worlds is a free virtual reality, online video game with an integrated game creation system developed and published by Meta Platforms for Oculus Rift S and Oculus Quest 2. Read more
YouTube’s Keyword Research Tool Available To Everyone This Month
YouTube Search Insights, a tool designed to surface valuable keyword data, will be available to all channels later this month.
The launch follows a limited test period that began in November, at which time YouTube offered everyone a preview of what to expect from Search Insights.
YouTube hasn’t significantly altered Search Insights since it was rolled out to select users months ago. Read more
Snapchat introduces Dynamic Stories for premium content
Dynamic Stories, the new Discover format uses a partner’s RSS Feed to automatically create Stories from the content a Publisher is already creating on the web, and display it on Snapchat.
Available in the Discover feed, these Stories update in real-time, meaning users can keep up with the latest news as it breaks. Whether it’s breaking news from credible sources on the war in Ukraine or the latest in pop culture or fashion.
By tying publishing on Snapchat into the partners’ existing workflow, Snapchat has created an easy way for them to create daily content and significantly lower costs. This new format will also play a significant role in supporting our continued effort to bring local content to our community across the globe. The platform has already begun testing in the US, UK, France, and India. Read more

After working on the option for the best part of the last year, Twitter has now released an initial live test of its new ‘unmention’ option, which will enable users to remove themselves from conversations if they no longer feel comfortable being involved. Read more
Amazon Raises Affiliate Commission Rates
Amazon announced that they are raising commissions on a small group of product categories for a limited time. The new higher payout rates arrives two years after Amazon lowered fees during the Covid pandemic as consumers switched to buying more items online.
Although the new rates are higher, some of the product categories are still several percentage points below pre-Covid affiliate commission rates. Read more
