Sydney, May 20, 2024: Media agency UM has announced the strategic appointment of Matt Evans as Managing Partner, who will spearhead the Optus account from their Sydney office. This move aims to enhance UM’s strategic media approach for Optus, driving market-leading value, innovation, and sustainable growth.
Evans, known for his extensive experience in client relationships and strategic partnerships, will play a pivotal role in evolving UM’s media strategies for Optus. He will work closely with the team to foster innovative and valuable opportunities.

Previously, Evans was the Head of Client Partnerships at Carat Australia, where he successfully led teams in delivering success for notable brands such as George Weston Foods, NOVA Entertainment, Mastercard, and the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation. His leadership style, characterized by a hands-on approach and a focus on personal growth and collaboration, is expected to bring significant value to UM and the Optus partnership.
