“You are worthy as anyone else.
Never let anything or anyone make you forget that.”
This has been one of my guiding mantras through the years, whenever I feel that things aren’t happening as planned.
I mean at times, life can make you feel a bit insecure simply because of what you’ve been through or what you think you lack at present because of the circumstances surrounding you now. And that leads you to feel unworthy of the many good things that life has to offer. Trust me, that’s such an uncomfortable space to be in.
However, it is very important that your self-worth should not be based on what happens around you or how you feel about everything that’s going on within.
It’s all about becoming genuinely self-empowered as you anchor yourself on your personal truth and your core values so that your self-worth remains intact.
Allow me to share with you the 5 thoughts to consider to build your self-worth.
1. You are not your past mistakes
Don’t let your past mistakes define you. Instead, use them as stepping stones to become better. Know that everyone has his/her own sets of failures and mistakes, and that’s perfectly ok. You’re only human. Stop beating yourself up for what you’ve done (or haven’t done) and start using those valuable lessons learned to your advantage, at present.
2. You’ve made it through before
If you’re reading this and you’ve realized that you’ve been through worse before, then what makes you think that you can’t rise above your challenges now as you become your own #bestmeever worthy of love and admiration? Give yourself more credit.
3. You made it this far
Not everyone survives along the way. And you, you’re still here! That means you have what it takes to succeed and that you have a greater purpose to live. Simply because, much like everyone else, you are worthy of your dreams and aspirations. Continue taking steps, big or small, towards the life you’ve always wanted for yourself.
4. You are successful in your own way
Have you taken the time to count your blessings and recognize your own success? Big or small, they matter because they remind you of your self-worth and help build your confidence in the process. Define your success based on your own terms and you will never feel less of a person.
5. Your happiness is never dependent on anyone else’s approval
Own your happiness. Stop seeking external validation. Allow yourself to be genuinely happy from within as you live life on your own terms. You are entitled to that. So stop seeking permission from others because only you can make yourself feel worthy of the happiness you truly want and deserve. Your self-worth is your own responsibility.
I hope these help you build your self-worth as you become the person you’re meant to be:
someone who’s truly worthy of everything.
